Nelaam

Alphonso Mango

Known for their sweet, juicy flesh and unique aroma. A popular fruit worldwide used in various dishes, from desserts to savoury dishes.

Appearance

The aroma of Alphonso mangoes is very intense due to the presence of high levels of myrcene, a kind of terpenoid, a naturally occurring chemical in plants responsible for flavor and aroma. The Indian mangoes have a sharply sweet flavor along with more mellow tropical flavors. The flesh is non-fibrous, with a smooth texture unlike some mango varieties.

Kesari

Appearance

Badami mangoes are typically larger than Alphonsos and have a slightly darker green skin that ripens to a golden yellow. Their skin is also thinner than some other mango varieties.

Totpuri

Totapuri mangoes have a sweet and tangy flavor suited for fresh and cooked preparations.

Appearance

The flesh is tightly adhered to the skin, making it difficult to peel, and the yellow-orange flesh is dense, firm, and aqueous. Totapuri mangoes are known for their semi-crunchy, succulent, and chewy consistency, and a central, small, and elongated seed is embedded in the center of the fruit. When young, Totapuri mangoes do not have a strong odor. As it matures, the flesh develops a light, fruity, and musky scent. Ripe flesh also remains mostly firm, with some softening around the stem. Totapuri mangoes are edible green or in their ripened state. The flesh is also edible and has a mild and vegetal taste. Green Totapuri mangoes have a green, grassy, and tart taste, while ripe Totapuri mangoes develop a sweet, acidic, and tangy flavor with floral nuances.

Chaunsa

SINDHRI

Sindhri mangoes are large, typically measuring around 6-8 inches long, with an oval or oblong shape. Their skin is thin and smooth, usually yellow or golden when ripe, and may develop slight wrinkles near the stem end.

RATOL

Appearance

Golden Yellow flavor-packed pulp inside is the right kind of sweet. A good Ratol mango is moderately firm from the top and bottom and impossible not to be consumed in huge numbers.

Nam Dok Mai

Flavour

When raw his mango is very sour. When ripen it is very sweet.

Appearance

Fruit shape is elongated elliptical with a prominent beak. When raw it can be light green /cream yellow color / baby yellow shade, but when it’s ripen, it turn to be golden yellow shade. The flesh of the fruit is known for having very little fibre, smooth and fine texture, pleasant aroma, and very sweet taste, but the seed is very thin.

NamDokMai Mun Mango

MAR-MAY / SEP-FEB

Flavour

Sweet and sour taste.

Appearance

Fruit Shape is similar to Keaw Sawei Mango & Nam Dok Mai, but it’s bigger size (2-3 times of Nam Dok Mai) with green color thick skin,which is good for transportation, but the stone is thin & less fiber.

Keaw Sawei / Thai Sweet Green Mango

Tastes like sweet potato and is sweet and crunchy.

Appearance

Khiew Sawoey mango is one of Thai Sweet Green Mango, which is very popular in Thailand & Internaltional market, since it has sweet potato taste when it’s still raw. The cruncy pure fruit of raw mango is good for snack or can dip in spicy sauce too. The fruit shape looks like oblong with heavy green skin, but it’s white flesh when it’s raw and turn to orange yellow when it’s rippen with coconut sweetness.

Sour Bao Mango

Flavour

It is very super sour when consumed young and super sweet when consumed ripen.

Appearance

The shape is very small (20g.-30g.) circle & flat with light green skin looks like baby mango. Very sour taste when it’s raw , but when it’s ripen it’s very sweet. Bao mangoes have very charactoristic with good tangerin aromartic smell, which is different from normal other baby mango, so it’s better to eat young mango with its skin, because it can help reducing the sour tast and plus aromartic feeling.

Mahachanok Mango

Very Sweet with strong aroma smell and sour when it is raw.

Appearance

The fruit of the Mahachanok mango is very elongated and curved, it turns yellowish–orange with pink blush like rainbow color when ripe, because it’s a hybrid cultivar of Sunset and Nang Klangwan (local Thai mango) and is one of the most popular varieties in Thailand for eating ripe. The stone of the fruit is long and thin, so a high proportion of the fruit is flesh rather than stone, the strong aroma and the taste has been praised as highly desirable.

Chok Anan/ Thai Honey Mango

Very sweet with Strong smell.

Appearance

It’s obovate shape with light green but thick skin,which is good for transportation. It has thick & white flesh with soft sour taste when it’s raw, when it’s turn to golden yellow flesh color both inside & outside when it’s ripen, then it’s very sweet and soft aroma. The flesh is also smooth & less fiber like Nam Dok Mai, but it’ s more strong /sticky like KEO mango.
